Sinking in Cascais with 13 people on board

According to Commander Pereira da Fonseca, the accident led to the hospitalization of 10 wounded, with "hematomas and signs of hypothermia. None, however, are in danger.

 

The 10 wounded were aboard the ship at the time of the accident and are for the majority of tourists of Finnish nationality.

 

According to the reports of the digital newspaper Cascais24, the sinking was recorded around 13 hours. Rescue operations required 32 rescuers, supported by 13 Cascais fire-fighting vehicles and the National Maritime Authority under the direction of the Cascais port captain.

 

According to information from the National Maritime Authority, by 2 pm all the occupants had been rescued and were "on land for examination". At the time of writing, it is not yet possible to explain the reasons for this incident.
