The Portuguese government approved this Thursday a resolution which establishes the ban on movement in the various departments of the continental territory on the first weekend of November, from midnight on October 30th to 11.59 p.m. on November 3rd, "the weekend corresponding to the day. of the dead ”, declared the Minister of the Presidency, Mariana Vieira da Silva.
In addition to this measure which covers the entire continental territory, a resolution was also adopted on Thursday imposing the lockdown in three municipalities of the country, where the pandemic has recorded a greater number of cases: Felgueiras, Lousada and Paços de Ferreira.
Portuguese Minister Mariana Vieira da Silva recalled, during a press conference after the Council of Ministers meeting, that these are the same guidelines previously given to the 19 districts of Lisbon which for a few weeks did not register any decrease the number of covid-19 cases, thus imposing stricter measures.
Since the beginning of October, these three counties have already recorded, together, around 2,000 cases, a number well above the number of infections recorded between the months of March and September (1,341).
