"Of these four new cases, three are in the North and have an epidemiological link to previous cases" and Italy, Marta Temido told reporters after a meeting of European Union (EU) health ministers in Brussels.

The JN newspaper reports that the new cases in Porto are two men, between 40 and 50 years old, and a woman over 70 years of age. All are linked to a case of infection also hospitalized in Porto.

"We continue with an identification of the epidemiological link of the cases [...], which allows us to identify the existence of cases and allows us to have the certainty that there is not yet a direct transmission in the community, "said the Portuguese Minister of Health.

Asked about a possible relationship of the new case in Lisbon with the Roque Gameiro secondary school in Amadora, where a teacher was diagnosed with Covid-19, the governor said: "As far as I know, there is no of link ".

With these four new cases, 13 patients with Covid-19 are registered in Portugal. Its neighbor Spain records more than 400 cases.
