The first night of the Lisbon curfew was marked by a shootout on Avenida da Liberdade, which involved guns and two vehicles. The information was confirmed by the Public Security Police Command (PSP), which added that authorities were investigating the case.

Fortunately this shooting did not obviously cause any injuries or visible damage. Several local residents heard and reported gunshots coming from Avenida da Liberdade at 11:30 p.m. on Monday, November 9th, half an hour after the curfew was put in place which prohibited traffic in the streets of the capital.
