The leader of CyberTeam, who signs as Spy_Unkn0wn on Twitter, has assured the Italian newspaper La Repubblica that the attack was aimed at forcing the authorities to intervene against its pedophile networks. The hacker group, to which at least one Portuguese belongs, had already warned on Twitter on January 27 that he was going to denounce several pedophiles operating online.
This CyberTeam “mission” has been named #OPPedoGate. During a brief Twitter search, it is possible to see screenshots of some of the websites of Brazilian municipalities that have been hacked.
Still according to the head of the group, the addresses of sites of a pedophile nature have demonstrated a “home” in the USA, Russia, Ukraine, Japan and Africa. Some are hosted on the Dark Web, but others are available to everyone.

The websites offer several services, some paid and others free and without any type of registration, thus preserving the anonymity of the users. Some sites contain videos and images of abused children, others tell erotic stories with minors. There are also photos of children sleeping and playing with each other, probably stolen from their parents' social networks, which were taken innocently but which are marketed by pedophiles.
Most websites advertise themselves as "teen modeling agencies and several as nudist associations," the Italian newspaper said.
It is recalled that in January, the same group of hackers invaded the website of the Portuguese Association of Football Referees (APAF) to defend the hacker Rui Pinto.
