The benefits of the “Renda Segura” program are numerous for owners: exemption from the IRS, IRC and IMI, guaranteed monthly income for at least five years and possibility of a three-year advance on the amount of the rents corresponding to the entire contract. This is how Fernando Medina, the mayor of Lisbon, intends to convince the owners who have property available to join them Renda Segura, a new housing program in the Lisbon municipality.

The forecast relates to a total of one thousand leases for a global investment of 15 million euros.

The mayor of Lisbon stressed that preference will be given to those who choose lower values. "The price that the owner asks will be an important element, we will value the owners who are ready to rent at lower prices," he said.
